- If you wish us to deliver and/or collect hired scenery you should make your requirements known a minimum of 14 days in advance – including required delivery and collection dates and times.
- Please note that the more flexible you can be, the greater the likelihood that we will be able to accommodate you.
- If we are able to undertake transport for you, these conditions and charges will apply.
- The customer must state the required delivery/collection time and address and provide a contact phone number of a responsible person who will be on the premises.
- The customer must arrange for suitable access for our vehicle and sufficient crew to unload and load the set. Our standard charges allow for up to one hour at the venue for unloading and two hours for loading. Additional time spent at the venue may be charged for.
- Our charges will include: loading and unloading of the set at our premises; transport to and/or from the venue; assistance to unload (up to one hour) or load (up to two hours) at the venue. Tolls, charges (congestion, LEZ, etc) will be charged additionally.
- We cannot offer a guaranteed, timed delivery service, but will make every effort to meet your required times. Sometimes delays do occur (very infrequently we are pleased to say) but in such circumstances the following arrangements will apply: If it appears that arrival at the venue is going to be more than 30 minutes after the required time our driver will telephone to advise on progress. If arrival is more than one hour after the required time we will allow a discount of 5% off the hire charge. If arrival is more than two hours after the required time we will allow a discount of 12.5% off the hire charge. No further allowances can be made. We will not accept any further claims for consequential losses of any kind.
- When customers make their own transport arrangements, paragraph 4 of our “Terms and Conditions of Hire” will apply. We can offer a loading service (chargeable) at our premises if requested in advance.
- Charges. These will be based on mileage from our premises to the venue. A supplement will apply for “out of hours” weekend / evening working. Firm quotes can be supplied up to 28 days in advance, but for guidance (September 2008) charges are based on a rate of £3.50 per loaded mile with a minimum charge of £130 per trip. Out of hours supplement £50.00 per trip.
- The above charges are based upon using our transport, or our regular subcontractors. When we are unable to accommodate your requirements and you wish us to engage contractors on your behalf, we will make every effort to do so. We will then pass on their charges, plus a handling charge (15%)
